I visited the CD-R King website and tried to talk to their tech support. Fortunately, their tech support are very friendly and very helpful.
I tried my best to take note of their instructions and finally I was able to make use of it. So here's what I did.
Open your Internet Explorer, Firefox, or any available internet browser. Type in 192.168.1.254 in your url browser. Don't forget the “http://“. This will bring you to your router's WLAN page setup embedded in your router's program.
Please change the wireless network name ex. owners name, then apply changes. Click “Apply Changes” button and wait again for 15 seconds for the router to restart and initialize.
WLAN ACCESS POINT. select the encription supported ex. WPA. passphrase, fill in the key values. ex delacruz123 this is ur network key or password in wifi connection. Then apply changes.
Note: you can choose whatever type of Encryption you want to use. In this sample WPA was used. You can fill any word (letters and Numbers) that you want with this field, Just Remember the word you filled in this field, because this will serve as the password for your wireless connection
Next click on the TCP/IP Setting then LAN Interface and change the IP Address and DHCP Client Range then click “Apply Changes” button and wait again for 15 seconds for the router to restart and initialize.
Change the default ip address to 192.168.10.254 (please note the highlighted number difference compared to the first IP address 192.168.1.254)
Also change the DHCP client range to 192.168.10.1 to 192.168.10.253, apply changes
On the browser’s URL or Address bar, type the IP address of the router which is 192.168.10.254, and then press the “enter key”. Please note this step because this is what I missed that is why I was not able to activate it the first time.
Now click on the Management and click on “Status”, to check if your WAN Configuration has an IP address and that you are already connected to the internet.
I made my wireless router LP-8186 work using this process. If in case you already have programed your router using other ways and still not working, then you follow this process and still not working, I suggest that you press the reset button at the back within 20 seconds (not sure if the router should be on while reseting it, mine is running while its running, then restart it). Repeat this process all over again.
Additional Notes
In my case, there are times that my connection freezes every after changing the setting of my router. This forced me to unplug the power of the router and then put it back again for it to restart. I am not sure if that's the best solution for the freezing.
Please also note that the router is supposed to be back online after 15 seconds whenever you change the setting. If your router is working well, there is no reason for you to unplug the power of your LP-8186
Hope your CD-R King Router LP-8186 will work well just like mine. Now I am enjoying the internet service all over the house without Ethernet wirings.

@Apple: Try to reset first your router. Use a pin in doing it. Try to look for the reset button and hold it for 20 seconds and then put it back online again and try the procedure again.:)
I've been using my LP 8186 router for a year now. No problems whatsoever with regard to the configuration and connection until lately. I couldn't connect right away after switching my router on (I switch it off when not in use). I always need to reset settings to default, name my wireless network, and assign a WEP key. This happens everyday since March 2010. I hope you can help me on this matter. My ISP is Smart Bro by the way.

Try to reset and repeat the process. It took me several tries to make it perfect. Ganun talaga sya, mahirap i-set. Try to reset everything first then start again.

eto ang problem ko, nagset kami dito ng username password para maaccess yung 192.1168.10.254
ang prob nakalimutan yung password. is there any other way to get the password aside from hard reset... balita ko kasi meron default pasword or another way to open it. baka po matulungan nyo ako....
For that, I really don't know the answer except for the hard reset at the back.:)

pag sinasaksak ko po yung lan cable ko sa lan 1, ang lumalabas lang po eh "No network access"

Hmmm... that's really weird. Did you check if all your cables are functioning? How about the connection?
You should be able to access the config page.
But the most difficult part however is how to connect it on the internet. You will be seeing that sign many times. That's why you need to reset it every now and then.
Parang ganito, madali lang kasi syang mag hang, kaya wag mong madaliin at alalay lang.
It's really a pain activating this router. But it can be done.:)
yeps. i checked my cables and even brought it to a friend's office to try it out. i guess the router's simply dead.
this isn't the first time that i operated a router and this one took the most time trying to figure out. d-link and linksys only took a few minutes to configure.
this router was bought back in '08 and was rarely used. my d-link was bought back in '06 and was very much abused and then kept away for about a year, and it's still working now. i guess cd-r king's living up to its reputation.

Yup... If you can get a better router, the better. Actually, I purchased another one, Belkin. And it only took me 5 minutes to set it up securely.:)

Please contact CD-R king for that.... Different Router have different platforms and ways to do that.
sorry but i am not really tech savvy when it comes to this. whenever i type 192.168.1.254 in your url browser, it says problem loading page. how should the hardware be connected?
@Jake there must be some problem in your connections, from router to the pc. If your router is connected to your pc, typing that to the browser should bring you to the page. And as far as I know, you don't even need an internet connection just to go that page.
However, you should make sure that everything is well connected from router to pc.

@ Shem, Your best choice is to reset it and try to reaccess it.
If you cannot access it even after resetting, there must be a problem in your router. You should be able to access it.
